Who Am I to Judge?

O Lord, how blessed I need to be
Where I am and who I am because of You
Oh, how foolish I could become
when I judge others for who they are
And what they do.
Do I ever stop to think that circumstance
could make a person to do weird thing
poverty could force kids to rob
and women to sell their bodies
young boys may choose to bear arms
either they are misled
or being promised that their families
will be well taken care of

If they had been born in a better surroundings
Had the love and care of the family
Enough money to eat, dress and study
And a place called home to come to for shelter
An opportunity to have a decent job to work
No doubt they wouldn't have chosen what they do

Who would love to live on the streets after dark?
Who would protect them from hunger, cold and violence?
It's easy for me to judge them from where I stand
But if I'm put in their place and made to live in their shoes
What would I tell, or how would I view those
Who are quick to judge and try to avoid me at any cost

Lord, You told us not to judge by appearance
And showed me how to love the outcasts of society
Mathew, the tax collector
the woman caught in the act of adultery
the Samaritan woman at the well,
Mary Magdalene, a woman of the street
Lepers, lame and the destitute
No one seen outcast in Your divine loving eyes
So, who are we to judge them for who they are.

Forgive us Lord for not following Your ways
Help us to love as You do
If we don't love and share what You showed us to do
Our preaching and prayers won't be of any help.
Help us Lord to be real followers of You
And make Your love rule over this earth.

Wakens Me Morning by Morning.

O Sovereign Lord, You have given me an instructed tongue
to know the Word that sustains the weary
You try to wakens me morning by morning
to listen to You as one being taught
I confess that I've become lazy these days
and long to linger longer in bed
than be at Your feet to listen early every morning

I thank You Lord for all You have taught me
in my quiet time with You
Oh how precious are these hours
and blessed I am to be taught
and led by Your Holy Spirit

Give me the yearning heart
to learn of You more
and to share about You more
Holy art thou in every way
and holy are the moments
I'm at Your feet to be taught by You.

Wakens me my Lord every morning
at the quiet hours of dawn
so that when the world around is sleeping
I'll be at Your feet listening
And You my Sovereign Lord
will be speaking  all I need to hear.

Go...tell it on the Mountain

O God,
I't's said in Malachi 3:16 that You listen to me, when I talk about You  and extol You in my day to day conversation.
You even get that written in a book of rememberance which is kept before You
In that case, You must have seen my name again and again written in that book
For I can't help it, but keep on boasting of Your goodness and faithfulness whenever I can
I'm neither a speaker, an evangelist or a lay preacher who speak about You and spread Your message
I'm just an ordinary woman saved by Your grace and dwell in Your goodness
Nothing delights me more than talking about Your faithfulness and  loving kindness
If I'm asked to name the passion I've got in life
That's what I'd say, the passion to go on talking about my Lord and the longing of walking in His path
You know it I'm not lying to say so to earn a great favor from You or to get applauds from others
I do it because I delight in talking about You
I wish all those who carry Your name would delight in talking of Your goodness and seeing Your faithfulness in their day to day life.
So many are so busy working for You rather than delighting in Your faithfulness
I too have become sluggish in my prayerlife my Lord
I do not meet with You early at dawn like years before
And spend long hours in Your holy presence
I pray and I pray for Your help to revive my slumbering spirit
and set it on fire so that I'd not only talk about Your goodness
but blow the trumpet from every hill-top
to tell about the comfort of Your leading
and the power of Your indwelling!

Praise and Worship

I will bless You Lord at all times
You are so worthy of multitude of praises
Your praise shall be in my mouth day and night
Let my soul make boast of Your loving kindness constantly
And let others hear of Your grace through my mouth and my writing
And magnify You with me with all their hearts.

I pray and earnestly request that
At no time and under no circumstances
I stop praising You
You know my sitting down and my rising up
You have hedged me in and around
And laid Your precious hand upon me
Such knowledge is too wonderful to contain
And so, I want to keep on praise and thank You
for all your mercies and kindness
How could I ever stop praising You , my Holy One
And if I ever do, I'm not worthy to take another breath
Or to call You in time of my need and trouble

I love You my Lord with all my heart
And I want to love You with my life all my days
Keep me protected from self -centeredness
So that I'll live for Your glory at all the times.

Prayer for 2013

2013 is here Lord, and I thank You for blessing me to see this year
I bow before You in utter reverence for guarding me and mine in the last year
Like a shepherd leading the sheep along still waters and merry meadows
You've led us and restored our souls through valleys of uncertainties
And hills of great opportunities and happiness for Your righteousness sake
We feared no evil or calamities because You were only a prayer away
Forgive me and mine if we have grieved or offended You in any way
Grant us the wisdom to always to choose obedience and follow Your ways
I pray that our walk with You this year would be much closer and more fruitful
I thank You with all my heart for being our refuge and mighty rock.

I pray also for the world we live in this year.
It's so sad that last year ended with twenty innocent children killed in a shooting within minutes
I cannot imagine how the families of these kids and the five adults sacrificed to save the kids
cope up with this tragedy and enter into this new year
No one, but You only can provide the strength and grace to make them to will to live this year
I cannot imagine how a twenty-year old, a mere youth could commit such an evil thing
What has become of the world, my Lord?
Where is it going ?
Life has become so cheap in so many eyes that killing has become a game
You came down to give Your life to lead us to abundant life
What have we, the church done with the Good News
Have we twisted and quenched it to suit our taste and glory?
Have we sold Your name for our sake that the name Christians
has become a name the world try to avoid at all respect.

Lord forgive us for our greed and self worship
We talk sweetly, hug with smiles, do You see genuine love in that
We consider our problems as persecution and take comfort living as martyrs
We have failed to live the life of early Christians
Where love, sacrifice and Your glory were expressed
Have mercy upon us, precious Saviour
Rehabilitate and revive us so that we live for Your glory
And the world would see and receive Your Light!
